2026 Topps Holiday Baseball Odds: Hits per Mega Box and Advent Calendar
We ran the official 2026 Topps Holiday Baseball odds sheet: about 1 autograph per 59 Mega boxes, a Chrome card in nearly every box, and the Advent math.
2026 Topps Holiday Baseball released October 21. It’s a stocking-stuffer product, not a hit chaser, and the official odds sheet makes that very clear. We ran every row of Topps’ own odds PDF to see what a Mega box, a Collector Tin and an Advent Calendar actually deliver.
Cards to chase

Expected hits per Mega box
Method: for every row on the odds sheet, a Mega box gets 10 packs ÷ odds. Add up the rows in each class.
| Class | Per Mega box | Roughly |
|---|---|---|
| All autographs (incl. relic-auto parallels) | 0.0170 | 1 in 59 boxes |
| Non-auto relics | 0.0042 | 1 in 241 boxes |
| Chrome (base Chrome + every Chrome parallel) | 1.046 | about 1 per box |
| Auto, relic or Chrome | 1.067 | about 1 per box |
| Holiday Variation SPs (front + back) | 2.86 | |
| Holiday Variation SSPs (front + back) | 0.05 | 1 in 20 boxes |
| Hidden Elf | 0.05 | 1 in 20 boxes |
| Oversized die-cut ornament | 1.0 | 1 per box |
The math lines up with the box promises. The “auto, relic or Chrome” slot works out to 1.067, which fits a guaranteed one, and the SPs come to 2.86 against a promised 3 (rounded odds and collation explain the gap). Just know that the guaranteed hit will almost always be a Chrome card. Autographs and relics together are about 2% of that slot.
The long shots
- Base Chrome SuperFractor: 1:29,776 packs, about 1 in 2,978 Mega boxes.
- Golden Glitter autograph: 1:54,974 packs.
- Hidden Elf Golden Metallic: 1:602,410 packs in Megas, which is roughly 1 in 60,000 boxes. Good luck finding that elf.
Advent Calendar and Collector Tin
The Advent Calendar is 24 packs, so it multiplies cleanly:
- Making the Nice List: 1:1.3 packs, about 18.5 per calendar.
- Chrome Plaid parallels (Refractor down to Red): about 1.97 per calendar, which matches the promised 2.
- Holiday Variation SPs: about 2 per calendar (front and back at 1:24 each).
The Collector Tin is trickier. Its odds are stated per unit, but Topps doesn’t say what a unit is for a 59-card tin, so we’re not converting those into per-tin numbers. The raw odds include Holiday Lights at 4:1, Blue Metallic Holiday Lights at 2:1, and Hidden Elf at 1:18.
Cost per hit
At $29.99 a Mega, one expected autograph costs about $1,768 in boxes. One expected Chrome card costs about $29. That’s the honest version of this product: buy it because it’s fun to rip in December, not because you’re chasing a hit.
