Pokemon Delta Reign Official Preview: Legendary Pyroduct, a Two-Card Stadium, and Aarune
Pokemon's official Delta Reign preview shows five cards, including a two-card Stadium that shuts off Evolution Abilities. Release date is Nov 6.
The Pokemon Company put out an official Delta Reign card preview on October 5, and one card is the real story: Legendary Pyroduct, a Stadium that takes two cards to play.
The five cards
| Card | Illustrator | Note from Pokemon’s preview |
|---|---|---|
| Hypno | Yuta Kawazu | Mind Ruler does 20 damage per card in your opponent’s hand |
| Kecleon | Akira Komayama | Colorful Whip does 30 per Pokemon revealed with a different type |
| Enamorus | Taira Akitsu | Illustration rare |
| Legendary Pyroduct | akagi | Two-card Stadium |
| Aarune | Shimaris Yukichi | Special illustration rare, grabs up to three Supporters and/or Stadiums |
Cards to chase

Legendary Pyroduct
Per Pokemon’s own article, this is one of the first two-card Stadium cards in the Pokemon TCG, and its art spans both cards: a volcanic scene with Growlithe, Magmar, Steelix and Heatmor. While it’s in play, both players’ Evolution Pokemon have no Abilities. Pokemon names Drakloak, Alakazam and Dudunsparce abilities as examples of what it shuts off.
The catch, according to the preview: it’s hard to play and easy to remove. Pair it with disruption like Unfair Stamp or Special Red Card. PokeBeach adds that TPCi translated the Japanese name “Legendary Lava Lake” as “Legendary Pyroduct” (a pyroduct is a real term for a lava tube).
Aarune
Aarune is the special illustration rare, a chibi-style take on the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Super-Secret Base expert. He can fetch up to three Supporter and Stadium cards in any mix, which Pokemon points out is a handy way to assemble Pyroduct.

Our take
A Stadium that turns off Evolution Abilities is a big deal in a format that leans on draw Abilities. Whether it holds up is something only play will tell.
