The first Cosmic Chrome teaser left plenty of room for guesswork. Blowout Buzz’s September 30 update fills in a substantial piece of that space: a 2026 checklist and odds sheet, including Cosmic Explorers Cut Signatures from astronauts and scientists.

Neil Armstrong, Albert Einstein, Sally Ride and Sir Isaac Newton share a checklist with baseball stars. Somewhere, a binder organizer just reached for another divider.

This is a follow-up to our first look, not another announcement of the same teaser. The new information is the checklist, cut-signature subjects and format-specific odds. Blowout still lists the release date as TBD.

What changed

The posted checklist runs through 200 base cards. It also lists Constellation and Anti Gravity variations, Starfractor, Planetarium, Stella Nova, Supernova and other inserts alongside the autograph lineup.

Those names are useful for planning a collection. They are not promises about what any particular box contains. Topps’ Hobby box art does settle one open question from the first look: 20 packs per box, 4 cards per pack.

The space-history signatures

The Cosmic Explorers Cut Signatures section includes Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, Sally Ride, John Glenn, Alan Shepard, Albert Einstein, Carl Sagan, Edwin Hubble and Sir Isaac Newton, among others.

These are cut signatures, not a claim that the subjects signed newly produced cards. Their inclusion also does not guarantee that every subject appears in every parallel or variation. The posted odds sheet carries that warning explicitly.

The collector angle is an unusual crossover: a baseball product with a space-history chase. Whether that belongs in your collection is a taste question, not an automatic reason to buy more boxes.

Hobby versus Lunar odds

The posted 2026 odds sheet has separate Hobby and Lunar columns. Here are selected entries, reproduced as printed ratios rather than converted into box guarantees:

Card typeHobby oddsLunar odds
Stella Nova1:801:80
Starfractor1:2821:283
Constellation variation1:6051:607
Anti-Gravity variation1:9611:963
Mars Attacks MLB1:1,5131:1,517
Supernova1:1,2141:77
Cosmic Explorers Cut Signature1:85,901Not listed; dash in sheet
Base Lunar Eclipse RefractorNot listed; dash in sheet1:2

Supernova is the clear comparison to notice: the published ratios are very different between formats. Cosmic Explorers is listed in Hobby, with a dash in Lunar. Do not turn a dash into an invented numeric probability or a guarantee beyond what the sheet states.

Every ratio above also matches Checklist Insider’s posted checklist. These are the intended odds in the document, not a prediction of your box. The document warns that actual contents and odds may vary.

How collectors can use this

Start with the card you want, then the format. A collector chasing Supernova has a different published-odds comparison from someone chasing a Cosmic Explorers cut signature.

Neither comparison establishes value without prices and final product details. There is no verified purchase price or release date in this update, and this article is not a hands-on break review.

For a specific subject, use the checklist to confirm the card exists, then compare singles and sealed options once the product is on sale. Your collection does not need a mission-control budget.
